After days of bickering and fighting between MLAs for and against bifurcation of the state, the Assembly Wednesday finally started discussing the draft AP Reorganisation Bill 2013 but proceedings were adjourned as protests continued from Seemandhra and Telangana MLAs over various issues. Earlier in the day, Seemandhra ministers deputed by CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy held discussions with Seemandhra Congress MLAs and got them to agree to start the debate on the Bill. Telugu Desam MLAs also agreed after Finance Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy assured them all information by Friday, on financial aspects of the Bill. However, YSR Congress Party MLAs did not agree and made it clear they would disrupt. Tourism Minister V Vasant Kumar started the discussion but termed it undemocratic and unconstitutional and accused the Centre of trying to divide the state against the interest of people. This elicited an angry response from Telangana MLAs who protested, Speaker N Manohar adjourned the House till Thursday. Telangana MLAs are skeptical whether the debate will be allowed to continue Thursday.
