Nitish rebukes rebel MLC’s supporters

Bihar CM pulled up supporters of rebel JD(U) MLC Balmiki Singh for shouting slogans against a BJP nominee.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday pulled up supporters of rebel JD(U) MLC Balmiki Singh for shouting slogans against a BJP nominee during an election meeting here.

“I will be the last person to tolerate such indiscipline. You should know that BJP is our ally since 1996,” Kumar told them and warned of action against those who flouted rules and indulged in anti-party activities.

Failing to secure a party nomination for his wife,Singh fielded her as an Independent in the election.

BJP nominee Vinod Yadav is seeking a third term from Bakhtiarpur constituency.
