Modi: Sonia only wants to save Rahul’s career

Desh bache ya na bache bete ka career bachna chahiye, said Narendra Modi.

BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi Saturday alleged that Sonia Gandhi and the Congress were concerned only about Rahul Gandhi’s political career, no matter if the country had to pay a heavy cost for establishing him. “Desh bache ya na bache bete ka career bachna chahiye,” he said, calling this Sonia’s “one point programme”.

Addressing a rally in Shivpuri,  Modi slammed the mother-son duo and Jyotiraditya Scindia, the scion of the erstwhile royal family from Gwalior. The union minister is a candidate from Guna constituency of which Shivpuri is a part.

Recalling his association with Vijayaraje Scindia, one of the founder members of the BJP, Modi said she was humble, unlike her arrogant grandson.

He remembered how she had “personally offered” him and drivers and assistants, all of whom were too tired to eat food, a glass of milk each when Murli Manohar Joshi’s Ekta Yatra took a late night halt in Shivpuri.

“I have never seen a more arrogant person in my life,” he said without naming Jyotiraditya.
