Let media do its work: Javadekar on Vadra spat

They move HC against termination of Assembly membership

With the Congress defending party president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra over his spat with a journalist, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday said that the media should be allowed to do its work.

“Responsible behaviour is responsibility of all. Media ko apna kaam karne do (Let the media do its work),” Javadekar said when asked to comment on the matter. Javadekar had earlier said that the I&B ministry would act if it receives a complaint.

On Saturday, Vadra had lost his cool and allegedly pushed aside the microphone of a TV reporter at a five-star hotel gym when he was quizzed about his controversial land deals in Haryana.
