ETS, the creator of the TOEFL iBT®, has partnered with online learning platform Study.com to roll out Official TOEFL Test Prep, a new adaptive preparation program designed to match the enhanced version of the TOEFL iBT launching on January 21, 2026.

The collaboration seeks to give Indian students and learners worldwide access to “authentic, AI-driven practice materials that mirror the updated test’s structure, including its forthcoming adaptive reading and listening sections.” The platform offers TOEFL-style questions, interactive lessons, personalised tutoring, detailed feedback, and progress analytics tailored to each learner’s skill level.

Omar Chihane, Global General Manager of TOEFL at ETS, emphasised the significance of the partnership, noting that TOEFL has been a global standard in academic English proficiency for more than six decades. “We’re proud to partner with Study.com to deliver an official preparation experience for the enhanced TOEFL iBT,” he said.

“This reflects our commitment to fairness, access and quality – giving every learner a clear path to success in today’s global education landscape,” he added.

The 2026 version of the TOEFL iBT will introduce adaptive elements for a more personalized test experience, an updated score scale aligned with the CEFR, and a design that more closely reflects the real academic tasks students encounter in higher education. ETS also confirmed that test-takers will receive scores within 72 hours, speeding up the admissions process.

Study.com CEO Adrián Ridner highlighted the platform’s student-centered approach: “As an immigrant and first-generation college graduate, I am proud of how Study.com is transforming how students succeed in the 2026 TOEFL iBT exam—making it personalized and enabling users to practice all sections with confidence and detailed feedback.”

The new prep program introduces task types such as sentence-building, email writing, and interview-style speaking, all aligned with the enhanced test design. These additions give learners instant feedback and data-driven insights across Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing—supporting more targeted skill development.
