Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Ministerial candidate Harsh Vardhan was among the first few to cast his vote from the Krishna Nagar constituency as the polling began for the Delhi Assembly elections on Wednesday morning.
Harsh Vardhan was accompanied by his family as he went to cast his vote. The BJP leader exercised his franchise along with his mother,who was on a wheelchair,wife,two sons and a daughter.
Before casting his vote,the BJP leader reiterated his confidence for winning these elections,saying there was no way ahead for the Congress and Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He said,We will win and Congress will come second while AAP will vanish.
Meanwhile,there were some confusion at this polling booth as people were not allowed to carry their cellphones. Also,there was no arrangement for keeping the same,because of which several voters returned without casting their votes.
Later,Krishna Nagar Congress candidate Dr V K Monga also arrived to cast his vote. While Harsh Vardhan was mobbed by mediapersons and supporters,Monga was accompanied by five-six people even as the media ignored him.
