On Tuesday, PDP released names of six candidates — three from Kashmir, one from Kargil and two from Jammu. Among the six, PDP has fielded Yasir Reshi, Saifudin Bhat and Inayat Ali, who contested the assembly polls in October but lost.
The BJP released names of five candidates, one each from Ladakh and the Valley, besides three from Jammu. It has fielded Ramesh Arora, Vibodh Gupta and Charanjit Khalsa from Jammu, besides Sofi Yusuf (Kashmir) and Tsering Dorjung (Leh). The BJP went for loyalty as the list includes old workers who have undergone jail terms and braved terrorist threats while working for the party.
