Anti-Terrorism Day observed on Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary

"Late PM Rajiv had dreams for a prosperous country and was submitted to realise it," UP Governor said.

The death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was today observed in the state as ‘Anti-Terrorism Day.’

On the occasion,UP governor B L Joshi administered a pledge to employees of Raj Bhawan to abide by the tradition of non-violence and oppose all forms of terrorism.

“Late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had dreams for a prosperous country and was submitted to realise it,” the governor said.

He asked them to promote peace and understanding and said that all should take a pledge to fight forces that threaten human lives and values.

Meanwhile,another function was held at the UPCC headquarters in the state capital in which senior party leaders and workers took part.
