Yousuf who played in all five matches, scored 283 runs at an average of 94.33 with a strike rate of 87.61, while Sreesanth took three wickets for 52 runs at an average of 17.33 off 10 overs in one match.
Man of the Series Yuvraj Singh, who claimed the second spot behind Mohammed Yousuf on the highest scorer8217;s list with 272 runs, topped the batting averages for the home team. The left hand middle order batsman scored these runs at 68.00 with a strike rate of 80.00 in five innings with four fifties.
Left arm medium pacer Sohail Tanvir, who took eight wickets at an average of 22.25, topped the bowling averages for the visitors. He took the top spot in the list of most wickets in the series.
Only two centuries were scored, both from Pakistan8217;s side. Younis Khan and Salman Butt hit one century each for the visitors. Sachin Tendulkar8217;s 99 was the highest individual score for India. Tanvir was the only bowler to claim four-wicket haul in the series which home team won by 3-2.
It was India8217;s first series victory under Mahendra Singh Dhoni and first against Pakistan at home after 24 years. India8217;s last series victory against Pakistan at home came in 1983 under Kapil Dev.
50 sixes: Shoaib Malik became the 10th Pakistani and 56th batsman overall to hit 50 sixes in one day internationals. Sri Lankan Sanath Jayasuriya, who hit sixes in innings of ODI matches, holds the record of highest number of sixes in this form of cricket.
