Yahoo 8217;99 from June 1

PUNE, May 25: Yahoo 8217;99 will be held between June 1 and 7 at the New English School ground on Tilak Road. Organised by Display Creators, the exhibition aims to marry shopping with fun-filled events. The exhibition will be inaugurated by actor Nana Patekar.

On the cards are games for children. Special playgrounds will be earmarked for the purpose. According to the organisers, a Tent House Cinema8217; where kids can watch films inside a huge canvas auditorium will be introduced. Notables have been roped in to train kids in various hobbies.

Mangesh Tendulkar will introduce the kids to the finer aspects of cartooning. Anil Avachat of Muktangan to display his origami skills. A wall painting competition is a part of the works.

A special section on information technology is among the highlights. On offer are software and hardware products. Social welfare stalls by the traffic police and a gift-a-toy8217; scheme will be undertaken. The toys will be donated to orphanages.
