GUWAHATI: Union power ministry plans to build a 21,000-megawatt hydroelectric power generation project in the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, Power Minister R Kumaramangalam said on Friday. quot;The Subansiri-Dihang project will be the world8217;s biggest power plant in a single area. It would start generating power from the year 2008,quot; the Minister told reporters. Three units to be built on river Bramhaputra at Subansiri will produce 7,600 megawatts and another three at Dihang will generate 13,400 mw.
