YSR constitutes 35-member Cabinet,drops four ministers

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Monday constituted a 35-member Cabinet including six women and 20 new faces. The Chief Minister retained 15 ministers of his former government while dropping four. Mohammed Ahmedullah is the lone Muslim minister in the new Cabinet.

Soon after the swearing-in,supporters of J C Diwakar Reddy attacked the office of Sakshi newspaper in Tadipatri from where Diwakar Reddy is MLA. The newspaper is owned by YSR;s son Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Ex-Home Minister K Jana Reddy,Panchayati Raj Minister J C Diwakar Reddy,Food and Civil Supplies Minister Kasu Krishna Reddy,and R Damodar Reddy have been dropped. K Rosaiah,who was Finance Minister in the earlier Cabinet and did not contest this time,is the only one to be inducted from the Upper House.
