Penelope Cruz,Javier Bardem have first child
LOS ANGELES: Actors Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have welcomed their first child. The Academy award winning actress gave birth to the baby late Tuesday,but the notoriously private couple have not yet disclosed the childs gender or name,reported People magazine online. The news was revealed by the Spanish newspaper El Pais,which reported the baby was born in Los Angeles. The 36-year-old actress married fellow Spaniard and Oscar winner Bardem,41,at a low-key ceremony in the Caribbean in July last year.
Padma Lakshmi in custody battle
LOS ANGELES: Indian model-turned-TV host Padma Lakshmi is facing a custody challenge from the reported father of her baby daughter. Venture capitalist Adam Dell,brother of computer magnate Michael Dell,filed papers in a New York court on Tuesday demanding visitation rights to see Lakshmis 11-month-old daughter Krishna Thea,reported TMZ. Dell is currently allowed to see the baby nine days a month as part of an unofficial deal in place until February 20 this year when the child turns 12 months old. The Top Chef presenter has never confirmed the childs paternity.
