LONDON: French first lady Carla Bruni had kept a head of the state waiting while she was engaged in a romp with her husband President Nicolas Sarkozy,a book claims. The former supermodel made the revelation to her US counterpart Michelle Obama,the Mirror reported. The book The Promise: President Obama,Year One added,Bruni wanted to know if,like them,Michelle and the President had ever kept anyone waiting. Michelle laughed and said no. Speculation is now growing that the stood-up VIP could be Britains Queen.
Soft drinks can double pancreatic cancer risk: Study
LONDON: Scientists have claimed that too much consumption of sugary carbonated beverages may increase the risk of pancreatic cancer. Several researches into the cause of pancreatic cancer have found that those who consume too much sugar-sweetened soft drinks are twice as likely to get the disease. A new study at Georgetown University in the US looked at carbonated beverages and the risk of pancreatic cancer in 60,000 men and women in Singapore over a 14-year period.
