She was famous for her violet eyes but not many know that a genetic mutation left Elizabeth Taylor with an extra set of eyelashes. The rare condition known as distichiasis added to the appeal of Taylors eyes,the Daily Mail reported. The doctor,who delivered Taylor in 1932 told her parents about the mutation,caused as a result of an abnormal development of FOXC2 gene. The condition,seen in pure-bred dogs,can be painful if the hair on the second row do not grow in a straight line. But Taylor escaped with such complications.
