With boyfriend watching on webcam,woman hangs self

A 26-year-old woman allegedly hanged herself on camera while chatting with her boyfriend on a computer in her home in Juhu late on Wednesday evening.

A 26-year-old woman allegedly hanged herself on camera while chatting with her boyfriend on a computer in her home in Juhu late on Wednesday evening.

Police sources said that the couple had quarrelled after the parents of the man forced him to call off their wedding.

The woman,Shobhna,lived in Muthuswami chawl near Manohar Surti building. The sources said that her wedding had been fixed eight months earlier and invitation cards had been sent out,but her boyfriends parents opposed the match.

She allegedly hanged herself with a dupatta in a fit of rage as her boyfriend watched through a webcam.

Police officers who reached the womans home at 11 pm rushed her to Cooper Hospital,where she was declared dead.
