8216;Wealthy Indians8217; average age is 398242;

HSBC-Nielsen survey also found that China's rich are young,single and mostly men.

A new survey found that the average age of wealthy people is 36 years,and 20 per cent of them are single in China.

The survey found that China has the highest proportion of 8220;double income no kids8221; at 18 per cent,the Independent reports.

An HSBC corporation and international research company Nielsen survey aimed to find the composition of the richest 10 per cent of the population of eight countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

The survey focussed on China,Hong Kong,Taiwan,Singapore,India,Indonesia,Malaysia and Australia.

The survey found that average age of wealthy Indians was 39 years,as compared to 38 years in Indonesia,which has second youngest proportion of wealthy people.

At least 12 per cent of the wealthy population was single in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The world8217;s travel industry is increasingly targeting China8217;s wealthy population as the country is expected to have 79 million tourists by 2015.

According to travel industry reports,72 per cent of China8217;s international tourists opt for 8220;high end8221; travel experiences.
