The Aamir-Sibal friendship

It was HRD Minister Kapil Sibals personal equation with actor Aamir Khan that got the latter to agree to be the ambassador of the National School Sanitation Scheme. While Aamir had interacted with Sibal before his blockbuster 3 Idiots was released to understand education reforms,the minister brought him in the committee looking at royalty sharing on copyright issues. Aamir is learnt to have readily agreed to be the face of the school sanitation programme,and appeared on the launch date without a single reminder. That the actors fan club extends across all age groups was also evident at the launch. If schoolchildren mobbed him for autographs,MoS UDM Saugata Roy confessed he had watched almost all his films several times. HRD School Education Secretary Anshu Vaish said his films Taare Zameen Par and 3 Idiots were being recommended as must-watch at most schools.
