State withdraws nod to BJPs rally

Agra District Magistrate Zuhair Bin Saghir said the permission was cancelled on the basis of reports fearing disturbance during the rally.

State withdraws nod to BJPs rally

The Agra administration Thursday cancelled permission granted to the BJP rally proposed to be held in Akola Sunday. BJP senior leader L K Advani and general secretary Varun Gandhi were to address it.

Agra District Magistrate Zuhair Bin Saghir said the permission was cancelled on the basis of reports fearing disturbance during the rally.

BJP district chief Ashok Rana said the rally was to be held on September 3. At 7:30 pm today I received a letter from DM stating that permission of rally has been cancelled, Rana said.
