The UP government late Wednesday ordered disciplinary proceedings and departmental inquiry against seven staff members of Urban Development Minister Azam Khan,a week after they had refused to work under him and sought transfer alleging use of abusive language by him. The state government,however,refrained from suspending them as the employees union had threatened to go on a strike if any punitive action was taken.
It is a gross violation of government rules as all these staff members decided to leave ministers office together without any valid instruction, said a senior officer.
At present,all the seven staff members have been attached to central pool till the time the inquiry against them would be in progress.
