Sonia hug for players,snub for Kalmadi

Commonwealth Games Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi got yet another snub on Saturday when Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son and party general secretary Rahul Gandhi met Indian medal winners of CWG 2010 but kept Kalmadi out.

Party sources said the OC chairman was not invited for the meeting at 10 Janpath.

On Friday,Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had met medal winners but had also kept Kalmadi out of the function. Sports Minister M S Gill was present on both occasions.

Kalmadi is also secretary of the Congress Parliamentary Party and member of the LS from Pune.
