Select edible oils fall on sluggish demand

Trading sentiment weakened as palm oil declined in global markets on renewed concerns over the euro zone crisis,hurting demand for commodities.

Meanwhile,palm oil for the July-delivery contract declined 0.5 per cent to 1,087 dollar a tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange. In addition,sluggish demand against adequate stocks position also influenced the trading sentiment to some extent.

In the national capital,groundnut mill delivery oil Gujarat declined by Rs 50 to Rs 11,500 per quintal.

Mustard expeller Dadri and cottonseed mill deliveryHaryana oils declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 8,200 and Rs 6,700 per quintal,respectively.

Tracking a weakening global trend,soyabean refined mill delivery Indore and soyabean degum Kandla oils fell by Rs 100 each to Rs 7,900 and Rs 7,450 and crude palm oil ex-kandla shed Rs 50 to Rs 7,250 per quintal,respectively.

Palmolein RBD and palmolein Kandla oils also moved down by Rs 100 each to Rs 8,000 and Rs 7650 per quintal,respectively.

In the non-edible section,castor and neem oils declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 8,350-8,450 and Rs 4,350-4,450 per quintal respectively.

Vanaspati Ghee 15-litre tin 1,100-1,250.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery Gujarat 11,500,Groundnut Solvent Refined per tin 1,850-1,900,Mustard expeller Dadri 8,200,Mustard Pakki Ghani per tin 1,160-1,300,Mustard Kachi Ghani per tin 1,315-1,415,Sunflower 6,300,Sesame Mill Delivery 8,300,Soybean Refined Mill Delivery Indore 7,900,Soyabean Degum Kandla 7,450,Crude Palm Oil Ex-Kandla 7,250,Cottonseed Mill Delivery Haryana 6,700,Palmolein RBD Rs 8,000,Palmolein Kandla7,650,Rice Bran phy 3,800 and Coconutper tin 1,575-1,625.

Non-edible oils: Linseed 5,100,Mahuwa 4,000,Castor 8,350-8,450,Neem 4,350-4,450,Rice Bran 3,280-3,380 and Palm Fatty 3,225-3,300.

Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850,Sesame 950-1,150,Mustard New 1,000-1,025,Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175.
