SC notice to Centre,U8217;khand on relief work

The Supreme Court Friday issued notices to the Centre and Uttarakhand government on a PIL seeking fair distribution of aid and compensation to people affected by natural disaster in the state. The court tagged the petition with already pending ones,raising issues relating to the Uttarakhand disaster.

The petition was filed by one Jai Prakash Bisht alleging that people,who lost their relatives,are not being compensated by the government and they continue to suffer. The dependent family members of the deceased are not getting any aid like food,clothing,medicine and shelter., the petition said.
