Rupee slips to 49/dollar,at 7-week low

Rupee dropped to its lowest level in 7 weeks early on Thursday,weighed down by Asian stocks.

The Indian rupee dropped to its lowest level in seven weeks early on Thursday,weighed down by lower Asian stocks.

At 9:02 a.m. 0332 GMT,the partially convertible rupee was at 49 per dollar,its weakest since May 18. It had closed at 48.88/89 on Wednesday.
