T Venkattram Reddy,chairman of Deccan Chronicle,was elected president of the Indian Newspaper Society INS for 2009-10 at its 70th Annual General Meeting held on Thursday. He succeeds Hormusji N Cama of Bombay Samachar Weekly. Kundan R Vyas of Vyapar,Mumbai was elected Deputy President and Ashish Bagga of India Today Vice-President. Rakesh Sharma of Hindustan Times,Patna will be the Honorary Treasurer for the period. V Shankaran is the Officiating Secretary General of the Society.
