Record placement from Bharatiyar University

Bharathiar University here created a sort of national record when BPO services giant,TCS placed 758 final year UG students from its affiliated colleges in the recently held placement season.

The 758 offers were made among 7,981 students screened by TCS,during their visit to different colleges of the Unviersity in January and as many as 1,168 students cleared the aptitude test in the first round.

However only 65 per cent of the students got placement after the personal interview round.

At a function organised to induct the new recruits,Ranjan Bandyopadhyay,Global Head,Human Resources,TCS BPO Services,said that there should be a strong element of gaming in the curriculum to make students employable.
