The political crisis within the BJP in Rajasthan seems close to being resolved with the partys central leadership summoning former chief minister Vasundhara Raje to New Delhi on August 30 and her apparent silence over it.

Following reports of the summons,Raje,in a climb-down from her earlier defiant attitude, said she was a loyal BJP worker and would obey directives from the party leadership. After meeting BJP president Rajnath Singh last week,Raje reportedly had agreed to quit as Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly after a special session that was adjourned on Thursday.

Raje told reporters here on Friday: The BJP and the RSS are like my family and I have a long involvement with them. I am a disciplined party worker and will obey all orders from the party leadership. When asked about the August 30 meeting, sources close to Raje said they had received no formal orders yet,but would comply with any such directive.

Senior party leaders in Rajasthan believe that the high commands summons could well be in connection to Rajes impending resignation. However, sources close to Raje preferred to remain silent on the issue and toed the party line. Rajendra Rathore said,The issue will be resolved in the near future and an amicable solution will be arrived upon.

In what was probably her last successful maneuver,Raje led all 78 BJP MLAs on a dharna and boycott of the special session of the Assembly on Thursday protesting suspension of the three BJP MLAs from the Assembly on July 28.
