Protesters rally against Kremlins economic course

At the rally of his supporters,the Communist leader Gennady Zyuganov lashed out at the Governments anti-crisis programme mostly directed at preserving the financial and banking sector and called for nationalising the countrys revenue earning mineral raw materials including oil and gas.

Russia has worlds 30 per cent mineral wealth and can survive on its own. The Government should stop looking at the East and West,we must have our own path, Zyuganov told his supporters at the Triumfalnaya Square in down-town Moscow.

The People,Medvedev,Putin together we will win! With this slogan the ruling United Russia party also took out thousands of its followers in various Russian cities and towns on Saturday in support of President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putins anti-crisis policies.
