Red Building Where The Sun Sets,produced by Syed Sultan Ahmed and Tabassum Modi,has won the National Award for the Best Film on Family Values,in the Non Feature film category. Director Revathy says,Most children are witness to parents arguments. It is not uncommon but it is important to give children the security of love and home and make them realise that arguments between people are normal and it will not shake their world. This message is important especially these days when our life outside our homes is so much under pressure and so we bring our tensions back home. Red Building Where the Sun Sets is a film from the childs point of view and his reaction to the fights his parents have day in and day out.
Talking over the phone,the director added,The film has been produced by the Bengaluru-based organisation Edu Media. They make films in a genre called School Cinema targetting students and parents. In the last couple of years they have made over 50 such short films. These are shown in schools.
When asked what she is planning next,Revathy,who has directed films like Mitr My Friend and Phir Milenge,says, I am coming up with a feature film in Hindi and am working on that right now.
