The inquiry will be conducted by a three-member panel of Chief Secretary Shiv Basant,Home Secretary J B Tubid and Finance Secretary Raj Bala Verma.
Earlier, responding to the show-cause served on him by Tubid, following the Accountant Generals demand for a probe into the non-adherence of rules related with the expenditure of SS funds withdrawn by him,Ram had replied that in Bihar, the AG had never raised any such objection.

Taking note of the reply,Chief Secretary A K Basu before retiring on August 31,had recommended a probe into the alleged misutilisation of Rs 9 crore by Ram.
The show cause was served on DGP Ram and ADGPSpecial BranchRajiv Kumar on direction of former Governor Syed Sibtey Razi after The Indian Express reported on July 10 that Accountant Generals office wanted the SS fund withdrawals probed for alleged misuse since necessary utilisation certificates had not been submitted by Kumar and Ram.
