Police rule out foul play in Fiza death

Responding to a questionnaire sent by the Mohali Police,the Board of doctors have replied stating that chances of Fizas death being homicidal are very remote.

Responding to a questionnaire sent by the Mohali Police,the Board of doctors have replied stating that chances of Fizas death being homicidal are very remote. The Board of doctors of Kharar Laboratory has further stated that aluminium phosphide,a dangerous poison,is consumed in majority of cases by people to commit suicide. However,significantly,the Board has not ruled out that Fizas death can well be accidental.

Addressing mediapersons,Mohali SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said,From medical and other evidence gathered so far,it has come to light that there was no foul play in her death. Stating that an SIT had been constituted to probe the mysterious death of Fiza Mohammad,estranged wife of former deputy CM Chander Mohan,the SSP said that the police are in no hurry to shut the case. He said that medical evidence is not the sole evidence on which the probe can be concluded.
