PMs surgeon in AIIMS body

The Union Health Ministry on Tuesday reconstituted the AIIMS institute body with Prime Ministers surgeon Dr Ramakanta Panda as one of the members in the decision making body of the institute.

While Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj,Rajya Sabha member R K Dhawan,Lok Sabha MP Jyoti Mirdha and Delhi University V-C Deepak Pental have been retained,Department of Biotechnology secretary Dr M K Bhan,Indian Red Cross Society secretary general Dr S P Aggarwal,Dr K K Talwar of PGI Chandigarh,Dr R A Badwe of Tata memorial Hospital and Dr Hameed Zargar,Director of Srinagars Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences are among the new members.

The other nominated members include Union Health Secretary K Sujatha Rao and Director General Health Services R K Srivastava,sources in the ministry.
