In the wake of the pilots scam,a pilots body has asked the DGCA to ensure transparency in the system and computerise the exam system.
In a letter titled SOS,the Society of Welfare of Indian Pilots SWIP,a body that represents pilots mostly from Jet Airways, wrote to the DGCA on Monday to ensure transparency and urged that the regulatory body increase the frequency of examinations conducted for pilot licences.
We would like you to make all examinations towards the issue of licences on a monthly basis rather than quarterly. Eventually you must strive for complete and total computerisation with minimum human intervention. The goal being to have such examinations every alternate day with the results being declared immediately after as is the practice in Canada, the UK,and the USA, the letter said.
