Paswan against creamy layer in OBC reservation

Rajya Sabha MP and Lok Janshakti Party LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan Saturday demanded doing away with the creamy layer among the OBCs pending 27 per cent government jobs are filled up with members from these classes.

Paswan,at a pres conference,claimed that OBCs representation in government jobs stood at 6-7 per cent and so creamy layer restrictions should be removed till the 27 per cent jobs are filled by the members from OBCs. He suggested the need of filing a review petition in the Supreme Court against the creamy layer order. He made this demand in the backdrop of the government enhancing the income ceiling for creamy layer.
