Pak spy tried to cultivate Navy man

Javed Mozawala,a 28-year-old visa agent from Byculla arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch on December 10 for allegedly acting as a spy for Pakistan,had contacted a serving Navy officer in Mumbai and tried to cultivate him as a source. However,the officer refused to entertain Mozawalas attempts at building ties with him,police sources said.

During interrogation,Mozawala said he used to call the officer and ask him for meeting him over a meal,but the officer refused to entertain him, said a Crime Branch officer,who did not wish to be named.
