While Y S Jaganmohan Reddys resignation caused ripples in the state Congress,anti-Jaganmohan factions and Opposition parties closed ranks and condemned him for trying to destabilise the state government.
TDP MLA Revanth Reddy faulted Jaganmohan for resigning because he was not made Chief Minister.
We condemn this kind of politics where a son takes it for granted that the Chief Ministers post should pass on to him only after his father, Revanth Reddy said.
Several Congress MPs and MLAs and erstwhile ministers criticised the pro-Jaganmohan camp for creating disturbances. Malkajgiri Congress MP Survey Satyanarayana accused Jaganmohan and his loyal MLAs of hiring anti-social elements to burn effigies of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vandalise PCC offices. Nagarkunool MP Dr Manda Jagannath said Jaganmohan had taken an ill-informed decision and accused him of trying to create troubles for the party.
Prajajayam Party president K Chiranjeevi said he thought Jaganmohan is impatient and acted out of haste. We will extend all our support to the new government and Congress as and when required, he said. But he clarified his party had decided not to join the government.
