Five NCP MLAs and an Independent were inducted into the Maharashtra Cabinet in a reshuffle Tuesday.
Ahmednagar MLA and NCP state chief Madhukar Pichad,Shashikant Shinde Akole,Satara and Dilip Sopal,an Independent attached to NCP from Barsi in Solapur district,were administered the oath of office as Cabinet ministers by Governor K Sankaranarayanan at Raj Bhavan. Suresh Dhas,Uday Samant Ratnagiri and Sanjay Savkare Jalgaon were made ministers of state.
While Pichad got the tribal development ministry,Shinde was given water resources Krishna Valley Corporation and Sopal water supply and sanitation.
Samant will be in-charge of urban development,Savkare takes over agriculture and animal husbandry and Dhas revenue and rural development,water conservation and employment guarantee scheme.
