After her defeat in the bypolls,Dimple Yadav, the daughter-in-law of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, has simply disappeared from public eye. The SP workers say she is looking after her children nowadays. No one has seen Dimple in the SPs state office after the election results. I have no idea regarding where she is, said party spokesperson Rajendra Choudhari. According to him,she may be in Delhi or Etawah, the native place of Mulayam Singh Yadav. Dimple was the first woman from Mulayams family to contest the Lok Sabha polls. Her defeat signalled the weakening grip of the party over its vote-bank. Sources in the SP said her defeat was an eye-opener for the party.
Power cheer for the state
After a long wait,UP has at last got a good news in the power sector. Located in Shahjahanpur district,Rosa Power Plant has generated fresh hopes to reduce the power crisis in the state. On December 29,the 300 MW Phase-I of this project was run on a trial basis and it could supply around 20 MW of power to the state grid. This is North Indias first thermal power plant in the private sector and the first unit is expected to be fully operational by April 2010. Though the total capacity of the project is going to be 1200 MW,the UP Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) will start getting only 600 MW by April 2010. The people of the state can expect some relief this summer.
Bundelkhand: Rahuls favourite destination

The bsp mlas must be relieved to know about Chief Minister Mayawatis decision to stop the practice of celebrating her birthday as Arthik Sahyog Diwas from this year. The CMs birthday is celebrated on January 15. No December tension this year, is how one BSP MLA shared his feeling while referring to the CMs decision to celebrate her birthday as Jan Kalyankari Diwas. Earlier, the BSP MLAs were tasked to arrange funds prior the birthday celebrations.
