Modi,Nitish greet Advani on his 86th birthday

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and his bête noire Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wished BJP patriarch L K Advani,who turned 86 on Friday. While Modi called on Advani at his residence in the capital to wish him,Nitish was learnt to have wished him over phone. While Prime Minister Manmohan Singh sent him a bouquet,Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi were learnt to have avoided any such gesture. President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice-president Hamid Ansari too sent flowers to greet the veteran politician on his birthday. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat,who was in the national capital territory on Friday,and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav wished Advani over phone. BJP president Rajnath Singh and his predecessor Nitin Gadkari met their party patriarch to greet him on his birthday.
