Mercedes-Benz India announced a record sales of 573 units in August 2010,marking a growth of 112 % over the same period in 2009 (270 units in August 2009).
This brings the total sales volume in Jan-August 2010 to 3497units (1899 units in Jan-August 2009) which is a strong growth of 84% on a year-on-year basis.
Driving record numbers was the E-Class with 206 units sold in August 2010 registering a growth of 312% over July 2009 (50 units: August 2009). The C-Class also reinforced its popularity by clocking 256 units in August 2010,which corresponds to a growth of 50% over August 2009 ( 171 units: August 2009).
The growth recorded by Mercedes-Benz in August marks a continuation of the current positive trend. Apart from an exciting array of products introduced in the Indian market,the popularity of the Three-Pointed Star is also the collective result of initiatives undertakne by the organization.
