LS Speaker rejects 13 resignations

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar Friday rejected the resignations of 13 Lok Sabha members,who had decided to step down to protest against the Union Cabinets decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh. The resignations have not been accepted by the Honble Speaker,Lok Sabha,in terms of provisions of Article 101 (3) of the Constitution and Rule 240 of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha, a press release from Kumars office stated.

The MPs who tendered their resignation are S P Y Reddy,G V Harsha Kumar,A Sai Prathap,L Raja Gopal,Anantha Venkatarami Reddy,V Aruna Kumar,Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy,Konakalla Narayana,Rayapati Sambasiva Rao,Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy,M Rajamohan Reddy,Sabbam Hari and Bapi Raju Kanumuru.
