Lead traded marginally higher by 0.05 per cent to Rs 118.95 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday on fresh demand from battery-makers.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange,lead for delivery in July traded higher by 10 paise,or 0.05 per cent,to Rs 118.95 per kg,with a business turnover of 605 lots.
Likewise,the metal for delivery in August edged up by 5 paise,or 0.04 per cent,to Rs 119.55 per kg,with a trade turnover of 40 lots.
Traders said a firming trend at the spot markets on the back of good demand from battery-makers mainly pushed up lead futures prices in New Delhi.
Meanwhile,lead was trading flat at USD 2,676 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
