With the BJP having made it clear that a letter pledging support of the entire JMM Legislature Party to the BJP was a pre-requisite for any forward movement on the government formation exercise in Jharkhand, the JMM on Wednesday showed signs of softening, and said that it is sending a six-member team to Delhi to hold talks with the BJP on Thursday.

A six-member team led by Hemant Soren son of Chief Minister Shibu Soren will reach Delhi tomorrow, JMM leader Shashank Shekhar told The Indian Express over the phone. We want to keep our alliance with the NDA intact.

The team will include representatives of both pro- and anti-Shibu Soren faction,it is learnt.

A meeting of the JMM Legislature Party was held in Ranchi on Tuesday, where this decision to send the team to Delhi was taken, but a couple of party legislators, including Simon Marandi, kept away from the meeting.

Besides the support letter, the BJP has also made it clear that it would not agree to one of the JMM proposals to let Soren continue as Chief Minister till June 30.
