JDU leader against quota for upper castes poor

JDU general secretary and national spokesperson Shivanand Tiwary Sunday flayed the Bihar government for constituting an Upper Caste Commission,saying upper castes poor should not get any quota benefits and a good economy was sufficient to rescue them from poverty. I dont think upper castes should be given any reservation which are strictly for backward classes and Dalits, he said. He criticised the decision of the NDA government in Bihar to constitute the commission to look into grievances of upper castes poor and for taking steps for their socio-economic empowerment including reservation if necessary.
