Jamshedpur: FIR against candidate

The FIR,based on a complaint by his rival,BJP candidate Dineshanand Goswami,alleged that Kumar had sought help from Maoists Samarji and Prabhat Bhuinyan in his election.

Following a directive from the EC,the police have registered an FIR against Jharkhand Vikas Morcha candidate Ajay Kumar for allegedly conniving with Maoists to influence the Jamshedpur bypoll.

The FIR,based on a complaint by his rival,BJP candidate Dineshanand Goswami,alleged that Kumar had sought help from Maoists Samarji and Prabhat Bhuinyan in his election. Goswami has handed over to the police a CD of the purported telephonic conversation between Kumar and Samarji,spokesman of the CPIMaoist in Jharkhand.

We will send the CD to a forensic lab for analysis, said SP Akhilesh Jha.
