Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd (JISL) on Friday said its net profit for the quarter ended March 31,2011 dipped by almost 7 per cent at Rs 109.26 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 117.34 crore in the year-ago period,it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Total income of the company in the March quarter of the company grew by 29 per cent to Rs 1,236.23 crore as compared to Rs 958.56 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
In 2010-11,the total income of the company stood at Rs 3,339.05 crore and its un-audited net profit was Rs 295. 01 crore in the same period.
Jalgaon-based JISL manufactures drip and sprinkler irrigation systems and components.
It is also into manufacturing of greenhouses,bio-fertilisers,solar water heating systems,wind hybrid energy and photovoltaic system.
The company also processes dehydrated,concentrated and frozen fruits and vegetables.
Shares of the company today closed at Rs 182.85,which is 0.19 per cent higher than its previous close at the BSE.
