The probe into the 2G scam is widening with Income-Tax officials on Friday questioning family members of former Union minister A Raja for nearly three hours.

Rajas wife M A Parameshwari,nephew R P Paramesh Kumar,elder brother,retired forest official A Ramachandran and a few others were called to the Income Tax office at Tiruchy for enquiries about their source of income.

Parameshwari was a director of Green House Promoters,the firm run by late Sadhick Batcha. Paramesh Kumar was its joint managing director and Ramachandrans son R Ramganesh,was on the its board. Officials remained tightlipped,but sources said the inquiry surrounded the 2G scam.
