Hurricane 8216;Caterina8217; hits B-Town

The song,which has bold lyrics like Taan ke seena8230; ho ja kameena,will feature Caterina in scintillating Western wear and also in a saree.

Talking about her rehearsals and performance,the item girl said,I am not going to lie but it was difficult! Learning the language and being able to lip-sync and making the right moves to the right beats required hard work. But I loved it and Im game for any other challenge.

The leggy lass admits that she enjoys watching Hindi films and listening to the groovy item numbers. In fact,Caterina confesses that she was so impressed with the strong influence of music in our movies,that she thought of trying her luck in Bollywood. She says,JLo took over Hollywood so thought,I should take over Bollywood! I love the way singing-dancing-acting routines are blended in a Hindi film. I always thought that it was fit for me.

A self-confessed Munni badnaam hui fan,she is all praise for Malaika Arora-Khan. She says excitedly, I used to watch a lot of item numbers on YouTube. I like the Munni badnaam hui number from Dabangg and Malaika Arora Khan is fabulous in that song. I want to bow to her. I like Sheila ki jawani too,but I am a Munni fan!

Unlike other foreigners who have been mostly been relegated to item numbers,Caterina is eager to make a mark in Hindi cinema and show her acting prowess. She says,Recently I saw Action Replayy and I liked it. I would like to do a film with its lead actor,Akshay Kumar. But I would definitely call Shah Rukh Khan my heartthrob. I hope to get an opportunity to act opposite him. Bollywood is going international and I would love to be a part of it.

In fact,Caterina is so clear about her goals that she is ready to settle down here if the Indian audiences accept her. She says,My main focus is Bollywood. So I am shifting everything here. I will see how the Indian community takes me,I am hoping that they like my performance and they accept me with open arms. Ask her where would she like to reside in Mumbai and she smiles, I would like to stay in a small house at Colaba.

But quiz her about the reaction of her cousin,JLo,on Caterina planning to shift her base to Bollywood and she quips,I want to keep that personal.

The 20-something starlet also tried to familiarise herself with Mumbai and would often visit various shopping malls. I also went to Mount Mary Church. I am a Catholic and so I just wanted to experience the spirituality in India. Im planning to visit the beaches of Mumbai and also travel to Kolkata in my next trip. Caterina adds that she finds Mumbai to be like New York and loves the citys fast pace.

During her stay in Mumbai,Caterina has learnt a couple of Hindi words. Ask her whether she knows what the title of her film Bhindi Bazaar Inc means and she answers in the affirmative. She says,Bhindi is a vegetable Laughs. But in the film,it is referred to as an actual locality of Mumbai which is quite dark and the hub of violence.
