Tracking Chinese markets,Hong Kong stocks went into a tailspin too.

Hong Kong stocks closed 1.4 percent lower on Tuesday after a global stock rally in response to a 1 trillion deal to resolve Europe8217;s debt crisis reversed course,with investors taking profit.

The benchmark Hang Seng index fell 280.1 points to 20,146.51. The China Enterprise Index of top locally-listed mainland companies fell 1.8 percent.
