Guzaarish disappoints

Referring to your editorial Success Reboot Screen,December 3,why is Bollywood churning out big-budget movies like Guzaarish and incurring losses? The subject of mercy- killing the theme of Guzaarish has no mass- appeal. Only a selected audience likes such films. It has a major flaw of dialogues in English without subtitles in Hindi a good section of cinegoers still do not understand English. Photography is dull and the music and lyrics are not memorable. The masses and younger generation do not like such serious films. It may be called an offbeat film fit for awards but the truth is that it is a boring film. In the end,most cinegoers guzaarish to the producer and director is to have mercy on most of the audience,stop making such films and not waste their time. All we want are good movies to watch.
